The Revenant


The Revenant I watched The Revenant yesterday with my lovely girlfriend. An interesting film with some extremely graphic scenes of violence and possibly an accurate portrayal of life as it was in the pioneering times of the Americas, based upon a true story of which you can read more here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/film/the-revenant/leonardo-dicaprio-hugh-glass-true-story/ This is not a film review but rather a review of what emotions were stirred in me as a result of watching the film. Interestingly enough, like a lot of people, I have felt drawn to the American Indians, no one tribe in particular. I remember as a child I had a hardback book about Native Americans and was completely transfixed by it at times. Similarly I was transfixed by the Revenant, it takes a lot for a movie to draw me in that much. In the main the film was set in the winter and a cold bleak winter it was too, some of the scenes of landscape and chilling cold were compelling. Within though my absolutely abhorren
